Top 3 Books of 2020

I am diving into my Goodreads 2020 challenge of reading 25 books, and I don’t want to brag, but I am 6 books ahead of schedule…

Reading books reminds me that my mind can take me anywhere that I want to go, and these are no exception. I am still to this day entranced by these listed below…

So far, my top three books of 2020 have been…

Where The Crawdads Sing – by Delia Owens

Marsh Girl lives a life that is filled with many traditional ups and downs and yet she rolls along with a happiness that is very motivating and endearing. She is not handed the nicest plate due to people assuming only the worst of her.

If you like novels that have you captivated and yearning for the younger years but also fairer times. This is the one for you!

Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams

I would like Queenie to be my best friend, she is the kind of girl who you aim and aspire to be but is also the friend who would love you the hardest. Queenie takes you through her life and her turmoil. It is a hard read at times but Queenie tells it like it is and you love her more for her stubbornness and self love.

It is very rightly deserving to be long listed.

The Wife Stalker by Live Constantine

The twist really took me by surprise. The wife appears to be abandoned by the next best beautiful thing and it is written to drag you through the pain with the wife. Uproar, frustration, lust and love all entangled into what can only be described as something quite capturing.

Don’t miss out on a book that sounds quite same-y, but isn’t!

There is nothing quite like falling in love with a book that you cannot seem to stop thinking about and these have been just that for me! I catch myself re reading or trying to analyse what’s happened or how I think the ending could’ve been regularly.

I am always on the look out for books that you cannot stop thinking about – be that romcoms or thrillers. So let me know what you have your sleeve?

Similarly, do you have a reading challenge this year, if so, what are you on?

Let me know if you read any of them!
